Does This Constitute a Round Trip?
Folks,
Ok, so this is related to the targeted Platinum status promo. Please don't hate me for this...
Due to make Platinum with my pace of travel by the end of summer, but as it turns out I'll be one trip short of making it by the end of June (before my next trans-con where having Plat is a definite advantage.)
To fill the gap, I went ahead and booked a mile-hop from JFK to BOS on 6/18, as it was cheap enough (and cheaper than other options I could find at that airport.) I'm flying out on the 4:29PM and returning on the 7:45PM, thus minimizing my time at Logan.
Clearly I would imagine this would constitute as a there-and-back round trip. However, Delta.com is showing my itinerary as one trip with two legs and a 1h and 13m layover at Logan. The trip header even says New York (JFK) ->to-> New York (JFK.)
Will Delta see this as the round trip as it is, or as a one-way flight from-and-to the same place with a layover somewhere else? The point of course is to have this trip bring me to PM status with the recent promotion (three round trips before the end of the year.) Does anyone know if this won't do the trick?
Thanks!
