Based on the two responses so far it seems like Seat 7C is the better one.

And I'm still in the running for an upgrade to First as I'm an elite member of United's Mileage Plus. I know that would mean significantly less legroom than 7C, but it means a wider seat along with free food and spirits to lift one's spirits.
