It took me over 10 minutes + queuing to convince checkin agents in ZRH to interline my bags from ZRH-ATH (LX) onto ATH-HER (A3).

Despite the fact that both are Star Alliance Members, also despite the fact that I had already checked in online for both legs and was holding both boarding passes.

The first agent at the bag drop seemed to have no idea how the concept of interlining a bag could work. Maybe I expected too much when I thought someone working at the bag drop had a basic idea about tagging bags.
She just played around on the keyboard for a few minues and then got frustrated that the second and third set of tags she printed still showed only ATH and then she just sent me away.

The second agent also first thought that it could not be done, but after I pointed out that I'd expect this to work at least within Star alliance, she agreed it should be possible and then tried and tried and then took forever and the supervisors help to print the bag tags correctly.

It all ended well. The bags apparently made the connection in ATH and were first to appear in HER.

Just a little more training by Swissport would have made me and all people in the qeue behind me even happier.
