Hmmmmm....I was thinking during the day today that after only a couple of responses I'd opened a 'revenue' can-o-worms. Now for sure I can see why capacity controls have been reinstated for E's - lots of people are saving a bundle using short-haul rewards for last-minute travel, very often on business!

ShareholderI'm mystified how you consider YEG/YYC a good starting point for these short hauls or were you just referring to the short hauls to the Yukon and/or NWT?
In its effort to take back market share from WestJet AC has significantly changed the rules and lowered fares in the YVR/YYC/YEG triangle where it seems to be a squandering of points to use a short-haul even when there is a 'sale'. Unfortunately, only AS hub in SEA is withing striking distance for us here with short-haul. Now if ORD were....I dream.
