Our recent stay at the Monterey Clement Intercontinental reinforced my belief that it is one of the most exceptional hotels in the group. I remain very impressed with the hotel, its scenic views and it's professional staff.

Conversely I have been extremely unimpressed with the facilities and staff at the Chicago Intercontinental One Mag Mile where we are currently staying. Though recently refreshed, the suites are tired and cramped and poorly lit. In our executive suite in the historic tower when we walked into the room a toilet was backing up, the ventilation system noisy, a minibar refrigerator not functioning and a room safe broken. There is also significant construction going on in the main lobby that we were not warned of. There is elegant historic and stay away historic.
