Seems like most of the time this year I get sound in only one ear from the ps headphones with the digeplayer. Usually ask for another pair and usually eventually get it to work. Tried jiggling the plug and things like that, to no success

Are the headphones just crappy/beat up, or am I missing a trick or just having bad luck?

FWIW, I do usually turn on the noise canceling feature via the kinda hidden switch on the left ear -- don't know if that has anything to do with it
