Most people, including me, would mistakenly assume that the ticket says UA____ so it's a UA flight.
They actually make it pretty clear on the baggage page (color emphasis added)

If they were to put every policy that everybody assumes wrong because nobody actually wants to click on the link that says
US/Canada Checked Baggage Policy printing a ticket would take up thousands of pages.
