I went to "Bora" and Bali.
very briefly :
BALI was nice but not as BOra. Yes, it's less expensive. Ritz-Carlton in Jimbaran area was nice, pool was fabulous.

But nothing compared to French Polynesia. Locals say that "Bora" is much too touristic now, but it is by far nothing compared to Bali or other destinations. If you really want the real French Polynesia Experience (I know wht I'm talking about, being French), go to Rangiroa for instance, although hotels (the Kia Ora for instance) are not as nice as in Bora.

Please avoid the "Bora Bora" hotel it was said to be THE hotel in Bora but it is definitely not worth otnow. Yes, The Méridien is wonderful, private "motu" (island), beautiful bungalows (esp. overwater, I wouldn't go to the Beach ones - if you're afraid of deep water ask for a bungalow close to the beach) - but the best bungalows are the ones on the very end : the only view you have is the ocean.
Expensive , but worth it !! the perfect honeymoon...

Also, I flew AF in First and the food is just the same as business (more or less).
