Xfr in LAX: T8-T5?

Looking at the terminal maps it looks like it is possible to get from T8 to T5 without having to go out security. Is this right? Looks like you just walk over from T8 to T6 and then take the tunnel in the middle of T6 to T5. Any thoughts?
