My Average with Delta

since January 1, 2002, probably $8k per year, which included one pleasure trip per year on an international M or I fare. I made DM the past two years (although in 2010 50k of the 130k MQMs were attributed to the PIT and RDU international trips I took). I did 139k MQMs in one of the years before DM was created.

I'm not sure whether this makes me the kind of HVC DL is looking for, since I try to get the most value for the least money, and I really enjoy playing the frequent flyer game (I can plan my business trips in advance, capitalize on what Jeff Robertson calls "junk fares", and can avoid Monday morning and Friday afternoon trips, so that I can maximize getting upgraded). I sense they are looking for a guy who resembles George Clooney's character in Up in the Air, who travels 321 days per year and is paying fares well in excess of LUTs.

One thing I do, though, is tell all my business associates and clients how great Delta is, how much enjoyment I get out of the treatment I receive, and how they ought to switch from whatever cattle hauler they use and step up to quality on the Big D.
