Six flights last week and three of them brought me to a scanner. IAH and DEN were stroppy about my calm nonconfrontational refusal-and told me it wasn't dangerous or an X-ray-and took their time finding a groper to deal with me-however all three were appropriate and professional and did'nt cross boundrys (I've experienced otherwise-in the past elsewhere).
LAS was noteworthy (D gate) as complletely no drama or "advice"-and a through but appropriate pat down. Her jaw dropped though when I commeted "Very professionally done-Thank you"-she recovered-and thanked me-but looked stunned.
Thank you for commenting politely to the TSO that performed the patdown, it is nice to hear positive things being said to our workforce.
Others have commented that this should be your experience everytime you are selected for a patdown, I agree. Every time you enter a checkpoint, you should recieve professional service.
