We would like to go direct from DFW to LHR on the same flight if possible but want to avoid paying the $200/pax change fee and then the fare difference (Y is full(ish)).
There is availability (7 seats in C (SWU to J)) and we were wondering if when we get to DFW we could switch flights which I know is a possibility using SWUs to get into J.
That leaves the bags - would they route DFW-BOS-LHR or would they be put on a direct flight to London from DFW.
Many times when I have flown through DFW or ORD to LHR my bags have actually flown on an earlier departing aircraft but I am wondering if these would go direct.
Sorry for all the (())s!
Many thanks,

1. They would try to put the bags on the flight you are on.
2. It is possible they won't be.
Once, I traveled SVO-LHR-JFK-SFO (SVO-LHR on BA) and my bag went SVO-LHR-SFO (all on BA)
