Frankly I find the general attitude of the Delta forums difficult to understand. There seems to be an underlying feeling that posters should conform to certain "standards" (I'm not talking forum rules, I'm talking perspectives). The level of entitlement and arrogance in this forum is, well... discouraging. I continue to have trouble understanding the moderation style.

It's odd that the WN forums didn't seem to have as much "insert feeling here". I'm certainly not implying they were a "luv-fest" but at least when someone posted a question or comment, the answers were generally based on the answer...

Am I just missing the tone? Heck, I moderated forums for a long time (not on FT) and think I have a good understanding of being objective... I still can't help but think I'm missing something...
I think your point is a good one. We have some very thoughtful people--I hope I am one of them--that help give a context that is helpful to DL. As a DM I want DL to be a very successful business. What is good for them is good for me and others here.

We do have the occasional situation in which increasingly we find oursleves: people who are full of themselves and feel entitled. One expects the end of the earth from some posts if an entitled person is not placed high enough on the upgrade list. My response is usually, "if you want a seat in the front of the metal, purchase an F ticket.

DL reads these comments and they know to blow off the people who feel entitled. On a DL flight to LAX a year ago I sat next to the Chief Infomrmation Officer for a major hotel chain. He said he personally read the comments about his hotels all the time on FT. He knew how to filter them.

I suggest DL pays attention to us, the well reasoned posters and not the self-defined entitled hot shots. They can spot a rant from 36,000 feet.
