May I double check if I am understanding your bold words correctly? Let's assume that I purchase a ticket consisted of a domestic fare basis and an international fare basis. By mentioning "the most restrictive rule of any
changed segment applies", does this mean that I would only be liable for the domestic change fee of $150 if I were to change segments that are covered under the domestic fare basis? If so, this sounds very rational. (but still $150 is too much needless to say

Yes, I always keep that in my mind. However, a major problem with this rule is that some annoying agents append comments to PNR, and the subsequent agents who answer call would follow whatever the comments on PNR say and not bother to go in any detail with something that disagree with the comments. I once almost had to beg an agent to assess everything from blank scratch.
