Hi, I'm new to this forum and looking to get some insight on potential programs I should sign up for.

I have already signed up for American Airlines' program and AirTran's A+.

I am interested in getting miles so I can take free flights. (I recently graduated college and am looking for a job in marketing/advertising/pr, so I don't have much of a budget for traveling although it's a huge passion of mine) It would also be nice to "gift" my mom with flights to visit relatives.

In order of priority, I personally would LIKE TO visit Europe, Asia, western US (have never been), and cruises. In order of priority for my mom, she NEEDS to visit Jamaica, Florida (Miami area), and Canada (Toronto). She has no need for hotels or hotel upgrades since she would be staying with relatives. She needs to visit Jamaica at least once a year. So you can see that we are open to a rather large selection of national/international programs

I would be flying out of any NYC-area airport and my mom is able to fly out of NYC-area airports as well as MacArthur (Long Island).

I am also registered with mypoints.com which offers United Mileage Plus (as well as Hyatt and Marriott but I'm not really concerned with hotels) and e-miles which partners with AirTran Airways, Alaska Airlines, Continental Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Frontier Airlines, Hilton HHonors and US Airways.

What do you travel-savvy folks reccommend for me/my mom?
