If you go into your booking on the SQ website and try to change seats it will show available seats, giving an idea of how full the cabin is. This certainly works when you OLCI. Of course there can always be pax who have booked but not had a seat allocated.
You can either confirm your existing seat, change seats or just back out of the page to change nothing.
I tried that, but the "new and improved" SQ.com wouldn't call up the seatmap. Since I have the seat I wanted I decided to stop tinkering.
