I asked a sales director of a Marriott property I know personally. She asked me how many nights on average I will stay in a week. I said 4 nights, thinking that's a lot of nights and should get me a match/challenge without no problem. But she just replied, well, you will get the status in no time. Probably, she doesn't have the permission to give me the elite status.
You can e-mail
[email protected] (or call marriott rewards) and let them know your a hilton diamond member and would like to see if they could do a status match. Basically they would ask you to show them a copy of your folio, basically your stays in the last 12 months and they should either give u a match or a challenge. I believe there is a thread on this in the Marriotts section and the same with Hyatt or SPG if you want to shoot for those.
