I am with the OP on this one. But I don’t think people that do that are rude as much as they are inconsiderate *s. So I suppose these folks would not mind a visitor in their home putting their feet on their walls or on their coffee tables. After all, that’s OK.

I see the practice as being a lesser offense if the perp takes their shoes off. At least there will be no marks or dirt left behind. It would better if they bring clean socks to do that and show care for the wall if they really need to do that.

For the most part, the people I see doing that are doing it to look cool and relaxed, as in “look at me, I belong here, I’m in first class, I’m the cat’s ...!” . Well, No Sir, you are an *, so sit down good and proper and put your feet up on your mama’s wall if you have to!.
