Well, I did use the "able-bodied" qualifier.
This topic has been discussed many times on FT. Judging by the number of foot-on-bulkhead/armrest reports, I'd guess most of the offending passengers are just rude, unless there's some DVT/broken ankle epidemic I'm unaware of.
