Of course, it also stands to reason that if you had flown a routing such as SEA-ORD-EWR-DFW-ATL-TPA (not saying that AA does fly all those segments, but you could fly a far more complicated itinerary), you wouldn't have been happy with just 30 Tier Points!!! As the tool can't be expected to know all potential routings, it is vital to enter the routing by individual segments when checking the "reward". Sorry that you didn't know this in advance!!!
