i think i am confusing matters.

I did get tier points.

BUT i flew from Seattle to tampa and the ba site says i get 30 tier points.

Because AA doesnt fly direct i had to change planes in Dallas and that route only got me 2 X 10 points.

So i only got 20 points when i expected 30 points.
