Some classes of discount economy fare on other OW carriers don't accrue TPs, eg O on QF (or is it E?), not necessarily the lowest, but sometimes the lowest you can buy at a particular time. IF AA has an economy fare class letter that BA doesn't use and list on its site, you miss out on the TP.

I did get the points but not for the routing i thought i had booked on.
The problem is that AA dont fly a direct route from seattle to tampa. So even though its booked as one route i had to fly via Dallas.
The ba site says you earn 30 points for a direct flight in my class of travel or 20 points for the 2 legs (which i received).
Normally would not be an issue but it leaves me 10 TP short of renewal.
