Hi all,

I have to take several LAX-BKK round trips in the upcoming year. I don't mind having a layover in one or even two cities. However, I am wondering what the best overall airline is for flying this route. The things that matter to me are somewhat comfortable seats/legroom (I am tall but skinny), pretty good food, and a good personal video system on the back of the seat.

The only Asian airline I have flown is Asiana, which I think is fine, so I'm wondering how the others compare. I have always wanted to fly Cathay Pacific and see the HKG airport, but it seems that all the reviews of the new economy seats are VERY negative.

Also, I'm looking for suggestions on economy only, or in any "premium economy" upgrades that are actually worth the expense.
