This isn't strange or bizarre, but to this day, I shutter when I think of flying US(less)Air... Seven years ago I was diagnosed with breast cancer and had to have surgery. I had reservations to fly using miles to London which we had made almost a year in advance. The reservations were the same day that the doctor scheduled the surgery and US(less)Air made me and my SO pay a redeposit fee for the miles. I can't remember how much it was, but it seemed significant at the time. I asked them if there was any way that they could be flexible and let us take the trip at a later date or waive at least my re-deposit fee. I got a big NO in writing. I still remember their lack of compassion and will only fly them as a last resort. At one time I had over 750,000 miles in my account and still have over 250,000 miles in waiting to be used. I avoid using them but keep my account active just till I do use them.
