Fellow Flyertalkers,
I am currently booked an an AC flight FRA-YYZ-FRA later this summer. On the return segment YYZ-FRA I will be traveling with a companion who I would like to either have sit in a Pref. seat or upgrade us both to J. Since we are both on different PNRs I can neither get a Pref. seat for my companion nor can I request an upgrade for him using my status (aka he would be treated as a non-status pax =low chances for his upgrade).
Is there a way to merge PNRs partly for a segment or any other way to get a companion in Pref. seating/status of upgrading party when requesting an upgrade? At what time would I be able to request an upgarde for my comp. t-4 as for myself or at some other time? Any ideas would be appreciated!
