Soooo, I have read another poster said that he waited until a Saturday night 8pm to send a msg, expecting NOT to get a North American email rep. It worked for him! I did the same thing last night but I forgot and by the time I remembered it was 9:30pm. Still sent my 2nd secure message after being previously shut down by a NA rep. 10 hours later today still nada. I thought maybe a NA rep will start his work shift and shut me down and that I should have sent it at 8 pm!! With the fear of being shut down or caught by a non valid offer ID, and after being shut down twice by chase on the upgrade extra 25K on their Onepass CC - once months ago and once just this week, yes you gotta try hard! - adrenaline started to kick in!

Someone answers, s**t, it's a North American rep! I went ahead and used the exact line of sargenet above and he asked me for a offer ID "yea...5894" him "give me one minute and I'll be back" 3 minutes later still not there, I almost felt like hanging up!! LOL. him "ok so sorry for the wait, so you are now under the offer 5894, after spending $500, and after waiting 6-8 weeks, you need to call us back and we will manually enter the 75,000 bonus point. Mr Flyaaah I'm making a note on the account, please make a hard copy note for yourself too, and please make sure to take down my name and my employee ID#." This is like a dream answer!!

I called 1-800-AXP-EARN (1-800-297-3276) today at 12 noon and told the Rep that I was to apply to the 75K MRP offer but the link forwarded me to the 10K offer. She asked me if I was targeted, and I said yes (of course I wasn't) and gave her the offer code 5894, but she wanted me to mail in the actual target letter to match the higher offer, so I had to hang up.

I tried calling again 5 minutes later and got another MRP rep named Kxxxxx at the Miami Lakes location. I told her that I applied for the 10K MRP offer but that I just learned that there is a better offer (75K MRP when spending 1K within 3 months)She then asked me for the offer code and I gave her code 5894. She put me on hold to speak to her supervisor. After 6 minutes on hold, she indicated that I qualified for the higher offer. She put a note in my account regarding the new offer and indicated that the points will be deposited 6-8 weeks after reaching 1K in charges. BTW, I had applied for the Gold card in Dec. 2010 and closed it in Jan. 2011 and still received 10K MRP points! Gotta love American Express.
