I personally cant eat bananas right now because of a medication I am on, so I dont choose the, but that doesnt mean I dont think about them!!!!!!!!
Let me tell you as a POS (an acronym I hate and find terribly degrading) I spent every flight feeling embarrassed and apologizing to my seat mates. If you think you are miserable because of the person you should be in their head for the flight!!!!!
With that said, I am currently about 125 lbs lighter than I was a couple years ago. I now easily fit in even a CRJ seat and I have to tell you, there are seat problems that have NOTHING to do with being obese. Now that I dont take up all my seat I notice how many others encroach on my space....tall guys with wide shoulders, armrest hogs, guys with long legs, people who insist on opening a newspaper full width on a CRJ, people with kids.
If we are going to single out one group for "seat encroachment" then YES it is fair to compare and clamp down on these folks too. Fair is fair...if you and all your crap dont fit 100% in the 14" the airline gives you, you dont fly.
I have news for all of you bashing the large passenger, most of you in one way or another would get booted also. The airlines have given us a ridiculously small amount of space even for "normal sized" people!!!!!!!!
This thread btw has a lot of really rude posts and I am saddened to see the moderators letting this continue!
