Curious to hear why people won't fly on a particular carrier for reasons other than the "normal" safety, comfort, CSR, etc reasons.

I'll start with a couple of examples.

My sister won't fly AA because her sister-in-law (her husband's sister, not my wife ) is a very senior FA on AA and, in my sister's words, she's a "total b*tch." My sister absolutely refuses to take even a 1 in 10,000 chance that her SIL will be working the flight!

I have a friend who is Jewish and refuses to fly any "Arab" airline. He thinks that they could identify him as being Jewish (both by looks and by name) and doesn't want "to take any chances." He literally thinks they might put something/spit in his food. Not kidding, he actually has said that they might spit in his food!

Any other examples?
