Yes this is clearly a major downgrade to 1Ks. Not only this, but the fact you have to credit 75K EQM just to earn the FIRST CR1.
Experienced the new boarding process in key business centers of HKG and SIN (not places like Cleveland or Guam). Far prefer the red carpet being more restricted, allowing a 1K (or C / F ticketed customer) to show up during Y boarding and just walk through the red carpet and board.
It will be far worse at PMUA hubs I'm sure.
The incentive to attain or retain 1K has gone down certainly. The incentive to hit 2P has gone up due to the carpet boarding.
