You get the odd Captains who want to try their hand (or voice) at French, or German when they give the announcements inflight if they have studied the language.
Then you get those who have asian wives / partners and they'd try their 'second' language on the appropriate routes. I was quite impressed by one English Captain who spoke almost flawless Thai and another with quite good Cantonese!
Haven't had any experience from anyone (cabin crew or pilots) even attempting to speak French on Canadian routes.
Guy, on my YVR routes, they actually sound American in my opinion!
