I frequently stay at the Bonaventure. Here's a run-down of the differences between Redondo and Tower...
Tower Suite
Size: Equivalent to two standard pie-shaped rooms.
Layout: Two equally sized rooms - bedroom and living room - with a sliding door divider between the two rooms.
Bedroom: Heavenly king bed w/nightstands, flat screen tv on a dresser, closet, and often a sitting chair
Living Room: Sleeper sofa, two small cubes pushed together to make a coffee table, desk & chair, closet, flat screen tv on a cabinet, lounge chair w/footstool, wet bar (sink, coffee maker, mini fridge)
Bathrooms: One full bath in bedroom, half bath in living room
Redondo Suite
Size: Equivalent to two standard pie-shaped rooms.
Layout: Living room is larger than bedroom (roughly 2/3 LR, 1/3 BR). Sliding door to the bedroom.
Bedroom: Heavenly king bed w/nightstands, flat screen tv on a dresser, and often a sitting chair
Living Room: Sleeper sofa, two small cubes pushed together to make a coffee table, desk & chair, two closets, flat screen tv on a cabinet, and lounge chair w/footstool
Breakfast "nook": small tiled area that is open to the living room with a small table w/two barstools, wet bar (sink, coffee maker, mini fridge)
Bathroom: One full bath off of living space
The breakfast nook in the Redondo Suite takes the place of the half bath in the Tower Suite.
Most Platinum upgrades are for the Tower Suite. Both Suites are comfortable, but I actually prefer the Redondo Suite because of the breakfast bar (I can eat dinner at the table while watching TV or with the paper spread out, instead of at the desk or slouched over the little coffee table) and I never use the half bath in the Tower Suite.
