CO SWU's are for CO metal only currently. There is no two ways about that.
Star A upgrade rewards need non-codeshare numbers. No two ways about that either.

There seem to be only 2 flights on CO.com EWR-MUC: the CO metal (CO106) and CO5005 "operated by LH". Same as when I first booked it.
Don't see LH coded one (nor did i originally).
Even if there were I assume at this point it's moot since I bought this weeks ago.
It's funny becuase I took this one htinking LH would have better seatas the CO5005 which is BizFirst but on a 767-200 which is not renovated to the new FlatBed.
The LH Seat map makes it look like First has "pods" whre as Biz has "lie flat" but not true flatbed.
I guess I chose bonus miles rather than the ability to do a *A upgrade without realizing waht I was doing.
I don't really get the strategy though.....is it because CO got the $s, LH won't allow CO to upgrade the passenger?
