I think we are getting a bit confused here.

Gold allows additional redemption seats in Y only at anytime by opening up additional fare class letters (if availalble) for redemption bookings. This does not apply to WTP, Club or F.

Golds can do a double miles cost redemptions.

GGL has a joker that allows redemption at normal mileage when no redemption seats are available once a year.

These benefits apply to all cabins no just Y.
