YMMV. I had to leave for Bangalore on the day of the Berkshire-Hathaway Annual Meeting a couple of years ago. My husband and I checked out of our hotel room at around 7 AM, took a taxi to OMA, and checked in my bags for a flight that was due to leave around 2 PM for ORD, where I'd continue to LHR and BLR. We then went off to the meeting. No problem at all.
