The new Palm™ MacPac version 2 is scheduled to be released this fall!

The new Palm MacPac version 2 will feature the Palm™ Desktop 2.0v2 for Macintosh, an incredibly powerful personal information manager based on the award-winning Claris Organizer product. New HotSync® software will also be included, bringing the same flexible conduit support that PC customers enjoy to the MacOS.

With the new Palm MacPac version 2 and appropriate third party software, MacOS customers will finally be able to install third party conduits, then seamlessly synchronize email, expense, and other applications with their Macintosh.

For developers who want to create conduits that will work with the new Palm MacPac version 2 when it's released later this fall, Palm Computing has posted a pre-release version of the Conduit Development Kit (CDK) for Macintosh. This CDK contains all the tools that developers need to create their own conduits to "connect" an application on a PalmPilot™ or Palm III™ organizer to a similar application on a Macintosh. The list of Conduit Partners on the right-side of this page have already announced support for the new Palm MacPac version 2.
