If it is the case then for me there is no reason to remain gold. Living 'up north' this is the most important difference between silver and gold. I frequently use Sleazyjet MAN-AMS and use the BA lounge.

If it's all over then I'll allow myself to drop to silver as there's no point in me being gold any longer.
