Then you can weigh up whether you want the extra allowance and also the nicer travel experience. You'd only need to upgrade one-way to get the full two bag allowance for both flights.

very rarely? You could buy a standard WT+ for less, indeed perhaps even CW for less.
To the OP, how would BA know you got married? You would just tell them? Don't think they haven't heard that 20 times or more each flight on this route.

BBB, how can you guarantee that if its in a carrier that is much larger than allowable hand luggage size? Isn't the danger there, that it may not be allowed and will be checked last minute where the odds of iy going astray are higher? I'd have thought best advice would be to have it carefully packed in a rollaboard that is legal for cabin baggage.
