I checked in a bag weighing 35.2Kg a few weeks back out of LHR - couldn't bealive they just let it through without saying a word...
That I knew, about if being a BAA rule. As for enforcing, well, it's very "shchuna" when it comes to LY.
Brazil requires carrier to allow a minimum of two 32 kg bags. LY has interesting policies about that as well. They won't let more (understandable,) but sometimes they force you to take less. Their website does so much to clarify their understanding of the matter, claiming flights to Brazil get 23 kg, direct flights get 32 kg.. I spoke to them to find out what that meant, agent had no clue.
