A group of us are flying from Madrid to either Milan or Venice (whichever ends up least expensive) next February and the cheapest airfare I have found by half is on Easy Jet. My concern is their baggage charges. Checking in two bags could easily make the fares similar but if I can control my packing (this is a challenge for me- especially since this trip starts in Madrid, then a week skiing in the Dolomites, then 3 of 4 days in Venice for Carnivale). Easy Jet is less expensive but Iberia might close because they allow one 50lb bag, a 22 lb carry-on and a personal item. My concern is if we underestimate our luggage count and weight, the fare could quickly be far more expensive.

Any other input as to preference of one or the other carrier would be appreciated.
