To clarify, T1 has two concourses, each with its own security area. The WN area has one MMW. The other has at least one MMW. (I'd PM an update but I don't recall exactly how many there are)...

In the WN checkpoint, the MMW is very prominently displayed right in the middle. You can attempt to choose an alternate lane but it's possible they may pull from any lane.

If you really want to avoid, fly UA, CO (entering from the UA checkpoint), AA, or VX from T2 or T3. Those checkpoints have no scanners at all (for now).
