I've driven by the Woodfin Cypress location before and from the outside it looked like your typical non-descript 3 star hotel. I'm a bit surprised Hyatt would want a property in Cypress since there isn't much there that would require a hotel stay. It's across from some business parks in a mixed residental/business/shopping/chain restaurant area, is not very close to the freeway, is a very long drive from Disneyland on surface streets (probably 20+ minutes with traffic), and probably the most notable destination within a couple of blocks is Costco.

While it's great Hyatt is adding a properties in California and I'll likely try it out at some point, I think the bigger need is properties in downtown LA, Pasadena, and a full service Hyatt at LAX where I usually have to stay at Starwood properties or drive a long way from the closest Hyatt.
