Climb gradients at the west end of 27 can reduce the max roll to approximately 8000' (vs. the full 8200' length). The 772ER at maximum take-off weight requires 8200'. However, that's full pax load, fully fueled, and full cargo load. This is unlikely to be BA's expectation on this route, so it'll be SOP in terms of operating the 772's.
