If I haven't reached any thresholds yet, but is $2500 really the minimum I have to let reside in the account as I cycle through deposits/withdrawals?

$2500 is the amount I saw quoted a few times in the thread, but there was no exact number given on my signup page. (I signed up for United instead of AA btw).
