Best Use? 100K Each: BA, AA, SPG

Ok, we are not sure where to start with planning our next big trip. Have recently accumulated BA and AA miles, but are not very familiar with the programs or actually FF programs in general. Maybe someone here can point us in the right direction.

Currently have 100,000 miles/points each with British Airways, American Airlines and Starwood Preferred Guest. Also have 15,000 Delta Skymiles. The SPG points can be transferred to many airlines to yield 125,000 miles. We can keep all the miles/points alive indef with credit card spending, but we were planning on cancelling the BA Visa at the end of this year. We generally earn about 40,000 Starpoints/year, but everything else is just CC bonuses.

We own a timeshare and will ideally trade the TS for another one somewhere, in which case we would not need to use the SPG points for lodging. Our best bets for timeshare trades will be: Thailand, UK/Ireland, Spain/Portugal, Mexico, Caribbean, Maui, Kauai.

We would like to go to the Galapagos sometime in the next 5 years, so keeping some FF miles in reserve for that trip would be nice (which points should we save for that trip?! how many?!)

We are 2 adults flying out of LAX, can travel year-round, hate crowds/cold weather. We like beaches, tropics, culture, adventure, food. Prefer to travel non-stop if possible.

Can someone point us in a reasonable direction? I get confused when I start reading about various FF programs because I don't even really know in general which airlines are best for which parts of the world. When I consider partner airlines, it seems like the choices are almost infinite.

Help!
