It really depends on what you are looking for. You are asking one of the most biased persons so you know what my answer is. I always try to get the mini cabin so it's not that bad for me as there are only 2 rows there and is private enough for me. I don't really care about direct aisle access though

I would rather fly IAH-ORD-NRT than via CDG though if you are flying on JAL. It has better equipment on ORD flights
