I just had a business lunch at Amaranto - the Italian restaurant at the Four Seasons Park Lane. Food and Service were very good, but I was really surprised by the decor. The dark marble floors and red colour of the bar make the whole area very gloomy, even on a bright day. We asked to be moved to sit right by the window looking onto the small garden area, which is slightly better, but that area has a green colour scheme which jars against all of the red. I'm sure it looks better at night, possibly because the whole place looks a bit like an 80's Asian nightclub! I'm sure the rooms are perfect and the service exemplary, but the design of the ground floor doesn't do it for me at all.
