While you may somehow manage to get your SkyMiles number attached to a booking for another passenger, if it's a DL flight you may as well kiss goodbye to the odds of getting more than zero SkyMiles from the trip.
If they are not frequent flyers, you may wish to look into signing up each of them for Alaska Airlines' program as Delta and American Airlines flights can be credited to the same account.
About transfer of miles from one DL account to another DL account, the cost of the transfer is usually what I would consider excessive and thus avoid doing so.
