Do you know which terminal you are leaving from? IMHO, the CA J lounge used by AC is pretty reasonable, although the full food offerings are hidden right at the far end and the place is huge. They also have an F lounge as I recall. I am not sure about lounges for domestic departures from other terminals.

I would certainly not describe the lounge I was in as "horrible".
