Sheraton Atlantic City reneging on No Blackout Nights
Trying to use points to book one night (Saturday) in the summer at the Sheraton Atlantic City. Online, it tells me to call for an award room. When I call, I am told it is sold out. However, there are rooms available online (prepaid rates only)! After a little more digging, it is clear there are rooms available. Once I get to a supervisor, she figures out that the issue is that this hotel has a two night minimum stay on weekends in the summer.
I realize that the T&C's allow hotels to set a minimum night requirement (another issue altogether), but my issue with this is that prepaid rooms ARE available for one night. The way I read the policy, there is a standard room available (at a prepaid rate), so I should be able to get an award room. But even after escalating to the supervisor of the supervisor, they tell me no dice: 2 night minimum.
Suggestions on how to proceed?
