I was going to upgrade to an overwater bungalow no matter which island I went to and just didn't want to spend the extra dollars to fly to Bora Bora ($800ish for two). Plus, I heard that is more expensive in Bora Bora for pretty much everything during your stay. Opinions vary of course but considering that many people compare the islands and some even like Moorea better I decided not to spend the extra cash.
